cb7e1893e7 libnm-util, libnm-glib: standardize copyright/license headers
- Remove list of authors from files that had them; these serve no
purpose except to quickly get out of date (and were only used in
  libnm-util and not libnm-glib anyway).

- Just say "Copyright", not "(C) Copyright" or "Copyright (C)"

- Put copyright statement after the license, not before

- Remove "NetworkManager - Network link manager" from the few files
that contained it, and "libnm_glib -- Access network status &
information from glib applications" from the many files that
  contained it.

- Remove vim modeline from nm-device-olpc-mesh.[ch], add emacs modeline
to files that were missing it.

29d538239f libnm-util: normalize IP settings in connection
This is the same behaviour as nm_utils_normalize_connection(),
which will soon be removed in favor of nm_connection_normalize().

This takes care, that normal connections always have an IP4 and IP6 setting,
and that slave connections never have it.

794ed1c9ef libnm-util: validate master/slave-type property in NMSettingConnection::verify()
- Before, when setting the slave-type to an invalid type, the setting
was silently accepted. Now verification fails with "Unknown slave type '%s'"

- Before, the @master property was not checked. So you could have a @slave-type,
without having @master set. And similarly, you could have @master, but
  no @slave-type. Fix both issues.

2deaa5397a libnm-util: normalize virtual_iface_name in NMSettings
Some type-specific NMSetting implementations (bond, bridge, team, vlan)
have their own 'interface-name' property. This property will be
deprecated in favour of 'interface-name' in NMSettingConnection.

Change verify() and normalize() to check that the redundant
values match and repair/normalize the properties.

Force the virtual interface name of the type-specific setting to be
equal to NMSettingConnection:interface_name. This way, the depreacted
field stays valid and backward compatible.

NMSettingInfiniband is special, because it does not have a backing
property for the interface name, although it implements
get_virtual_iface_name(). To account for this, some special handling
is needed in order not to change the behaviour of get_virtual_iface_name().

cdc15cb2a6 libnm-util: remove NMSetting* GParamSpec docs
Remove all the GParamSpec docs, since everything now uses the gtk-doc
docs instead, so there's no point in having two copies of each (which
are often out of sync anyway).

Since we're touching so many lines anyway, also fix up the indentation
of the remaining property-installing lines, and add
G_PARAM_STATIC_STRINGS to each paramspec (so the nick strings don't
get strduped). Also, be consistent about starting a new line between
"g_object_class_install_property" and its opening parenthesis.

e8577083ca libnm-util: various NMSetting* property doc fixes/improvements
Fix up various issues with the docs for the NMSetting properties, and
pull in text from the GParamSpec docs where the GParamSpec docs were
better (or contained information that is necessary in the context of
nm-settings.5).

Also, consistently wrap all of the doc comments to the same width (80
columns).

9de24b16e8 libnm-util: fix gtk-doc bugs in NMSetting* properties
Fix misused gtk-doc annotations and incorrectly-identified properties.

In particular, the upcoming introspection-based generate-settings-spec
expands macro and enum values, so if you use '%' where you should have
used '#', it will fail to find an expansion, and error out.

Fix the docs to also consistently use "Wi-Fi" rather than "WiFi",
"Wifi", "wifi", or "WiFI"; "Ethernet" rather than "ethernet"; and
"InfiniBand" rather than "Infiniband".

9d319e6da0 libnm-util: refactor NMSetting name and register_settings
- refactor register_settings to allow lookup by GType and
add the settings name to SettingInfo.

- setting NM_SETTING_NAME is deprecated and should not be set anymore.
Indeed it has always be a bug, to reset the name to a different value.
The only valid place to set the name was in the _init() function of
  the derived class itself.
This is now no longer needed/possible. Instead the name get's
detected based on the registered setting types. This makes use of
the registered metadata that is available anyway since every
usable setting has to register itself.

To better handle broken hardware, like switches which don't pass
traffic for a few seconds after a carrier has been negotiated,
add a timeout to control how long to wait for successful pings
of the gateway before giving up and proceeding with IP config.
Default is 0, which means don't ping the gateway, just assume
the NIC/switch aren't lying and can pass traffic immediately.

38e3819b4e libnm-util: clean up setting registration
Make setting type registration less icky; instead of having the
connection register all the settings, have the settings themselves
register that information at library load time. Putting this sort
of thing in G_DEFINE_TYPE_WITH_CODE is apparently more standard
than the home-rolled stuff we had before. Also document the
priority stuff so when adding new settings, people know what
priority to use.

839eab5564 Use glib-mkenums to generate enum types
Rather than generating enum classes by hand (and complaining in each
file that "this should really be standard"), use glib-mkenums.

Unfortunately, we need a very new version of glib-mkenums in order to
deal with NM's naming conventions and to fix a few other bugs, so just
import that into the source tree temporarily.

Also, to simplify the use of glib-mkenums, import Makefile.glib from
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/654395.

To avoid having to run glib-mkenums for every subdirectory of src/,
add a new "generated" directory, and put the generated enums files
there.

Finally, use Makefile.glib for marshallers too, and generate separate
ones for libnm-glib and NetworkManager.

6349151de1 bonding: implement bonding slaves
Adds a MASTER= directive to ifcfg-rh allowing a connection to define
itself as bonding slave.

Adds a connection property "master" which contains the in-kernel device
name or UUID of the master connection.

Adds a connection property "slave-type" which defines the type of slave
this connection represents. Currently this is only set by bonding but
eventually this will be used by VLAN and bridging.

Enforces that no bonding slave connection has any IPv4 or IPv6
configuration set.

Changes make_ip4_setting() to take a universal flag indicating whether
to allow disabling ip4 config or not and use it for both, ip6 and
bonding special case.

864db9f9e8 libnm-util: add new compare flags for ignoring various types of secrets
It turns out we need a way to ignore transient (agent-owned or unsaved)
secrets during connection comparison. For example, if the user is
connecting to a network where the password is not saved, other
changes could trigger a writeout of that connection to disk when
connecting, which would the connection back in due to inotify, and the
re-read connection would then no longer be recognized as the same as
the in-memory connection due to the transient secret which obviously
wasn't read in from disk.

Adding these compare flags allows the code to not bother writing the
connection out to disk when the only difference between the on-disk
and in-memory connections are secrets that shouldn't get written to
disk anyway.

82772191a9 libnm-util: simplify permissions somewhat; remove groups
Groups may come later, but they are also quite a bit more complicated
because getting the groups a user is in may require network access
if that user is backed by LDAP. And it gets worse because you have
no idea that the glibc calls like getgrouplist(3) are backed by
the network and may take an arbitrary amount of time to complete.
Punt that.
