nmcli -c auto -> colors will only be used when stdout is a terminal
nmcli -c yes -> colors will be enabled unconditionally
nmcli -c no -> colors will be disabled unconditionally
Synopsis:
nmcli agent { secret | polkit | all }
The command runs separate NetworkManager secret agent or session polkit agent, or both.
It is useful when
- no other secret agent is available (such as GUI nm-applet, gnome-shell, KDE applet)
- no other polkit agent is available (such as polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1,
polkit-kde-authentication-agent-1 or lxpolkit)
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=739568
It is useful for running nmcli without --ask option, i.e. non-interactively.

libnm mostly used GPtrArrays in its APIs, except that arrays of
connections were usually GSLists. Fix this and make them GPtrArrays
too (and rename nm_client_list_connections() to
nm_client_get_connections() to match everything else).
Use g_print() and g_printerr(), which wrap printf() and
fprintf(stderr,...), but handle conversion from UTF-8 if the locale is
using a different character set.
Change all DBUS_TYPE_G_UCHAR_ARRAY properties to G_TYPE_BYTES, and
update corresponding APIs. Notably, this means they are now refcounted
rather than being copied.
Update the rest of NM for the changes. The daemon still converts SSIDs
to GByteArrays internally, because changing it to use GBytes has lots
of trickle-down effects. It can possibly be changed later.
Change all DBUS_TYPE_G_MAP_OF_STRING properties to G_TYPE_HASH_TABLE,
with annotations indicating they are string->string. Not much outside
libnm-core needs to changed for this, since DBUS_TYPE_G_MAP_OF_STRING
was already represented as a hash table.
(One change needed within libnm-core is that we now need to copy the
hash tables in get_property(), or else the caller will receive a
reffed copy of the object's own hash table, which we don't want.)
Change all DBUS_TYPE_G_LIST_OF_STRING and DBUS_TYPE_G_ARRAY_OF_STRING
properties to G_TYPE_STRV, and update everything accordingly.
(This doesn't actually require using
_nm_setting_class_transform_property(); dbus-glib is happy to transform
between 'as' and G_TYPE_STRV.)
Add NetworkManager.h, which includes all of the other NM header, and
require all external users of libnm to use that rather than the
individual headers.
(An exception is made for nm-dbus-interface.h,
nm-vpn-dbus-interface.h, and nm-version.h, which can be included
separately.)
Remove _nm_object_ensure_inited(), etc; objects that implement
GInitable are now mandatory-to-init().
Remove constructor() implementations that sometimes return NULL; do
all the relevant checking in init() instead.
Make nm_client_new() and nm_remote_settings_new() take a GCancellable
and a GError**.
Create a new clients/ subdirectory at the top level, and move cli/ and
tui/ into it, as well as nm-online.c (which was previously in test/,
which made no sense).
cli/ was split into two subdirectories, src/ and completion/. While
this does simplify things (given that the completion file and the
binary both need to be named "nmcli"), it bloats the source tree, and
we can work around it by just renaming the completion file at install
time. Then we can combine the two directories into one and just have
it all under clients/cli/.
